This Friday, August 20, 2021, I will be heading north through lower Michigan and across the Mackinac Bridge to upper Michigan. I will cross the UP, dropping through the northwest corner of Wisconsin to Danbury. There I will meet friends from Minnesota for the shuttle back to Hayward, Wisconsin to start a 7 day canoe trip down the Namakagan River to the confluence of the St. Croix National Wild and Scenic River and back south of Danbury.
After the week of canoeing, it will be off to Minneapolis to visit my mother and sister for a few days before the long drive back to Oxford.
A week later, it will be off to unkown destinations in Wyoming and Colorado. Trout and elk are calling me, and I must go see what they want.
